Two by Two ("the app," "we," "us") is operated by Jeffrey M. Simms. This policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: we don't collect any of it.
Two by Two has no user accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information about you.
The name you choose and your progress — your daily activity, the verses you memorize, and the animals you collect — are stored only on your device, in its local storage. This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. If you delete the app, this information is removed with it.
When you choose to send a verse to someone, the app opens your device's own Messages, Mail, or share sheet, pre-filled with the verse and any note you add. You pick the recipient and press send inside your own app. We do not see, collect, receive, or store the message, the recipient, or your note — this is you sharing through your own apps, not the app collecting data.
If you turn on the optional "morning knock" reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. This happens entirely on your device; no information is sent to us or any server to deliver it.
Two by Two is made for families, including children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone — child or adult — it does not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13 (or the age defined as a minor in your region). There are no accounts, no messaging within the app, and no data collection through which a child could share personal information with us.
The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking software. No data is shared with third parties, because none is collected.
Two by Two is free to download and offers one optional in-app purchase, Journey Plus ($9.99, a one-time purchase — not a subscription). Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see, receive, or store your payment details — no card number, no billing address, no name attached to a transaction.
Whether you own Journey Plus is recorded by Apple against your Apple ID and checked on your device. Restoring a purchase asks Apple, not us. We hold no purchase records of our own.
Because your information stays on your device, its security is protected by your device's own protections (passcode, Face ID, and so on). We hold no data of yours to secure.
